Lauren Clark is a speech pathologist with over 19 years of experience focused in the inpatient, outpatient, and private practice clinic settings. She has assessed and treated a wide variety of diagnoses including those arising from developmental and congenital conditions (e.g., various syndromes, autism, ADHD) as well as acquired disorders (e.g. traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, tumor). Over the last several years, she has developed a passion for assessing and treating dyslexia, completing an additional 10 credit hours at the graduate level focused on the assessment and treatment of dyslexia utilizing multisensory methods prescribed by the Wilson Reading System. These additional courses included both the introductory steps of the intensive reading program (Steps 1-6) as well as the advanced steps of the intensive reading program (Steps 7-12). Lauren has additional specialized training in the use of Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) for apraxia and has attended several feeding courses including the Mealtime Miseries course.
Lauren obtained her Master of Science in speech language pathology at Loyola University in Maryland. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the Pennsylvania State University, where she obtained a minor in health and human development in addition to her Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders. She has been a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) since 2005 and has maintained a Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) since 2006. She is currently licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the states of Delaware and Virginia.
